With 91% of organisations in the region experiencing a cybersecurity incident in the past year alone, the landscape is fraught with risks. Despite the investment in security solutions, the sheer volume of incidents underscores a deeper issue – organisations are simply not equipped to handle the evolving threat landscape.
The alarming rate of breaches is a reflection of the lack of preparedness among APAC’s business leaders. CIOs in the region are feeling the heat, with nearly all of them anticipating significant breaches in the year ahead. A staggering 91% of APAC organisations have encountered at least one cybersecurity incident in the past 12 months, with 53% reporting multiple breaches.
A Lack of Fitting Solutions

A significant proportion of APAC CIOs feel that their security solutions are not tailored to their business requirements. A whopping 45% of them report that their organisations have overinvested in security solutions that they don’t need, leaving a substantial amount of resources tied up in security tools that are not being used effectively. This underinvestment leads to a lack of confidence in their ability to mitigate potential threats.
